What is Region 3 DVD? Will It Play in the US?

Region 3 - Southeast Asia, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau
Region 4 - Australia, New Zealand, the Pacific Islands, Central America, Mexico, South America, and the Caribbean.
Region 5 - Eastern Europe, Russia, the Indian Subcontinent, Africa, North Korea, and Mongolia.
Region 6 - China.
Region 7 and 8 are reserved for special use.

* There are also region-free DVDs that come in 0 or ALL.

As you can see, Region 3 DVDs refer to discs from Southeast and East Asia. It is important to note that DVDs released in a certain region can only be played by DVD players made in that region. This means that Region 3 DVDs can only be played by Region 3 DVD players. Therefore, you cannot play Region 3 DVDs in the United States, which is labeled Region 1.

Step 1. Load Region-locked DVD
