New Major Update of HD Video Converter Factory Pro

To fix the recent download issue, we released HD Video Converter Factory Pro (and the free version) V 20.0 and DVD Video Converter V 21.3. Coming with HD Video Converter Factory Pro V 20.0 (and the free version) is the new crucial subtitle/audio improvements, to which many users have been looking forward. Now, let's delve into the details.

1. Now you can choose to softcode or hardcode subtitles.

Upon loading a video with internal subtitle track(s) or any video with external subtitle files, and clicking on the Subtitle settings button, you will enter the window to select the Subtitle Type: closed captioning or hard-coded subtitles.
Hard-coded subtitles apply to any kind of video and will become a part of the video image permanently, and cannot be turned on or off.
Closed captioning, on the other hand, can be turned on or off by the viewer. Please note that only text-based subtitles like ASS, SRT can be saved as soft subtitles while picture-based subtitles like PGS can only be exported as hard subtitles. If you have a video with multiple subtitle tracks and cannot choose the close captioning option, switch to a text subtitle track first. Besides, there is no video output format limit for adding hard subtitles, but the supported formats for soft subtitles are MKV, MP4 and MOV.
Another thing to notice is that you can embed only one hard-coded subtitle track to a video but can add multiple soft subtitle tracks to one video.

2. Keeping all/multiple subtitle and audio tracks is possible now.

When converting videos to MKV, MP4 or MOV, you can expand the audio selection drop-down list to select the ones you'd like to keep, or double click one audio track to select them all. Similarly, you can keep multiple or all subtitle tracks as long as you have chosen the text-based subtitle tracks and the soft subtitle mode.
The new feature is currently available on HD Video Converter Factory Pro and Free HD Video Converter Factory, but will be supported by our DVD ripping programs, DVD Ripper Pro, DVD Ripper Speedy and DVD Video Converter too in the future.
